Day Date questions.
Hey guys I wanted to ask a few questions. I have been researching the Day Date recently and going through a ton of listings and reading some articles on it. I was pretty sure I was going to go for the DD 40 after trying it on but then yesterday I tried on the new 36 mm and I just loved the way it sat and looked on my wrist.
My questions: - would you guys recommend going for the 2015 and newer model for the ceramic pins so that the bracelet stays nice and tight for a long time? - Any of you that have the model prior to 2015, how do you find the bracelet to be holding up? - If I decide to go for the 18238 (I assume that's the one that is a double quick set , which is a requirement IMO. I've read a lot lately and I am pretty sure that's the correct model.) what should I be looking for when trying to find one in good condition? I assume I should be looking for pictures where someone is holding the case in their hands and letting the bracelet hang to determine how much stretch the bracelet has? Is there anything else besides the obvious (dents in the case, asking the seller how it runs etc.) - If I am looking for one in pretty decent condition that I can enjoy, should I be looking to pay around $10,000 or more? Thank you all for your help, there is a lot more to researching this model than when I was in the market to buy a sub lol. I appreciate any and all assistance in advance. -Anthony |
