Tell me about oblique medium nibs
I received an Omas Milord Vision in blue today. I got a fair deal on the pen and was lucky enough to win the auction a few days ago. This particular pen has a factory Omas oblique medium nib. I saw this in the auction and did some research before bidding. It seemed like a benign nib modification but I don't really get it. Writing with the pen without it being slightly rotated gives a pretty scratchy experience as I expected. With a little rotation it writes like a regular medium. Is the nib meant to be used without rotating the pen and giving some scratchiness and a thinner line on some strokes? There really doesn't seem to be much variation this way. This is the first nib modification of this type in my collection so it's new to me. Stubs, medium, broad, fine.......yes. Oblique, new to me!
