Cathodic magnetron sputtering?
I kid you not. I was reading a Rolex ad (Road & Track magazine, October 2008), which explains how Rolex inscribes its scratch-proof ceramic bezel. Part of the process is "through cathodic magnetron sputtering."
![]() I am sure this is of great comfort to those of you who have the ceramic bezel, and will encourage those of you who have the "old" bezel to immediately acquire a watch with the ceramic one.
