Just Took A Quick Picture Of My Sea-Dweller & My Atocha Coin. Such A Great Combination.

The Atocha (A Spanish Galleon) sunk during a hurricane off Key West in 1633. Mel Fisher, who was a treasure hunter searched for years, and in 1985 found the Atocha and the mother load of treasure.

Prior to finding the sunken treasure, Mel Fisher was out of money and reached our to people as investors to help fund his dream of finding the Atocha.

My father met Mel Fisher, and scuba dived with him many years before Mel Fisher started looking for the Atocha. My mom & dad (School teachers, raising four childred) agreed to give Mel Fisher $5,000 dollars as investors, and in return, Mel Fisher agreed to pay them back 200% of their investment, if any treasures were found. Subsequently, treasure was found, and, my parents were re-paid their investment with Atocha treasure coins, not money.

My dad gave each of us children an Atocha coins, and sold the other to a broker, and ended up make close to $20,000 dollars.
