Hello from Spain
Hello:
I am new here and I like to introduce myself. I write from Madrid, Spain. I always wanted to own a Submariner like James Bond...but the day I could have one it was not possible to find it in three stores here in Madrid. It was 1.990, but I bought a brand new GMT blue and red pepsi 16700 with jubilee bracelet. Later, I lost the Rolex in a car crash. I wear a big scar in my arm left by the watch since then. I started the search for a new Submariner, but, again, it was impossible to find one and got a GMT II, black and dark red bezel, also with jubilee bracelet. I was young and impatient. Four years later, the lost GMT appeared in the Rolex representative shop in Madrid and was returned to me, with the case and bracelet broken and several scratches, due the car crash. It was repaired, the bezel was changed for the black one and put the Submariner oyster bracelet. I gave the GMT to my father for present. When he died, I kept the GMT and gave the GMT II to my godson. My wife gave me for wedding present a new 15200 Oyster Date. These week I left the 15200 for check and service (615 euros with glass)and changed back the black bezel in the GMT for the pepsi one. Today, I own those two Rolex watches, one Hamilton, one Certina, one Tissot and two Casio. All with automatic movements, except the Certina, it has manual wind up, and the Casios! I really do not know if someday I could buy another Rolex, but I wish to have a SS Daytona and a green DJ for my wife. I work for the IT department of a big Bank. I am glad to be here and amazed for the huge knowledge all of you have! Best regards to everyone. ![]() |
