Watch Winders do your need one?

Hi I am new to Rolex Forums so I hope I have posted this in the right place.
I have had a my Rolex GMT black bezel/face since 2002 and wear it every day and love it.
I recently bought a GMT Black/Blue and intended to sell my old GMT but I now decided I love it to much to part with it, so it looks like the New GMT might end up in the safe, do you need to use a watch winder if the watch is storage or is it okay to keep it in the box unwound?
