FS: Panerai Luminor Marina Automatic Acciaio - PAM 48 - 40 mm
For sale is Panerai Luminor Marina PAM 48. This is the 40 mm version of Luminor Marina case. I bought this piece 2 months ago from my jeweler in Vienna, VA. I am the third owner of this watch. It is in MINT condition, especially considering its age. By the looks of it, and considering the pristine condition of the OEM strap and buckle, watch mostly sat in some Washington, DC lobbyist's watch box. I can only see faint hairline scratches on the polished bezel in bright light and under magnification. Nothing I can easily see in normal light or that shows up in photos. I would give the watch a solid 95%.
Below are answers to common questions: 1. This is 2003 model. Key characteristic is that it does not have word "Automatic" on the face, which some prefer. 2. The watch keeps perfect time. It's about +2 sec / day. 3. I don't know if it was ever serviced. It doesn't look like it needs servicing any time soon. Time keeping performance is A+ 4. This PAM 48 came with a pin buckle. The scratches on the buckle were put by me in the 2 months I owned the watch. They came from the buckle rubbing against the metal of my MacBook Pro while sitting in meetings. It was pristine when I got it from May Jewelers in Vienna, VA. 5. The case is in impeccable shape. I don't see any scratches on it. 6. The original black croc strap barely shows any signs of wear. Which is why I think the watch was never really worn. This is why I bought it. It looks MINT. 7. I don't know if there ever was a tool with this PAM 48. From what I researched on the forums, Panerai may not have been including the tool with smaller case sizes back then because there is no "quick release" stem on the underside of the strap. This is a feature of 44mm+ models. 8. The only paperwork that came with the watch was the paperwork from Tourneau. Supposedly Tourneau does not include original warranty cards because of the personal information included on the card. I don't know if this is true, or whether my jeweler just didn't have original paperwork. Asking $4300 shipped to continental USA ONLY. I will not sell/ship internationally. Plenty of references available on Watchuseek, Rolex Forums and eBay. Also please check my PERFECT feedback on eBay: http://www.ebay.com/usr/scarabei |
