Incoming - Oyster Perpetual 36mm
I can proudly call myself a “true” member of these esteemed forums, with the purchase of my first rolex!
Like many of you, my love of watches grew over time. It started on a trip with friends in Tokyo, Japan, staring boringly at the wall while my friends gazed over used rolexes with some sort of minature magnifying glass. The watch in question, a vintage birth year Rolex Sub, was in great condition and at a great price. Unfortunately it had a red dot visible under loupe ![]() ![]() Slowly over time I would get more interested into watches. Always being one to try something different, I went down the Grand Seiko route with their beautiful tatami dial spring drive watch. Alas, as a newbie I didn’t realise it was too big for my wrist and you can never satisfy your itch until you get a rolex. Life is not complete without a Rolex ![]() So I decided one day I will get a Rolex. Baselworld 2018 came and I was blown away by the SS Pepsi, as a frequent traveller and fan of cola (lol) this was my dream watch. I set myself a goal. Lose 18 kilos in 12 weeks and buy a SS Pepsi when it is released. One thing didn’t go to plan ![]() ![]() ![]() The other thing has gone to plan, I’ve lost 14 kilos in 6 weeks ![]() ![]() And to celebrate, and after much much deliberation, I picked up the below rolex from my AD (who now added me to the list of VIP clients for selected releases - I played dumb and told her not sure what you mean ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
