Forum suggestion - integrating a "thanks"/"like" button

So many times I see posts on the forum that are either great watch pics, hilarious comments, etc and I want to show that their post was appreciated. but, quoting posts clutters up threads.

an old internet marketing forum I was on had a "thanks" button, so when someone posted something great, you could thank the post instead of quoting it and giving a complement or whatever.

ive only been on this forum for maybe 9 months, so unsure if this has been implemented in the past and was removed.

maybe the mods could implement this? not sure, just an idea!
