First purchase since my last purchase in 1972
While at my favorite Rolex AD during the 4th of July week, I happened upon this Seiko Prospex dive watch with the "Pepsi" bezel insert and PADI scripted dial. Being a collector of vintage Rolex GMTs, and a certified PADI master diver, I couldn't pass this one up. It comes on a very nice stainless steel bracelet and I also had the dealer order me a Seiko rubber dive strap to go with the watch. They've come a long way since the older vintage dive watches.
My last Seiko purchase was during 1972 while in the U.S. Army. It was a Seiko DX automatic that I purchased at the PX which I still own to this day. I had this one serviced a couple years ago and it still runs like a top and wears the original bracelet. The day of the week can be changed to go from English to Spanish which was a feature of the DX models. It's a great watch indeed as well as the new dive watch added to the collection.
