Rolex Datejust 36 116234 Initial Thoughts

Just received my DJ36 in the mail so here's a quick review of my initial thoughts.

I've owned a 36mm Explorer, 39mm Explorer and a DJ2. The last 3 Rolexes I've owned had smooth bezels and oyster bracelets as I always believed that to be the ideal spec.

Throughout my briefly lived ownership of the DJ2, I found myself wanting a smaller watch that is also less prone to visible imperfections. The logical solution to many would've been a Sub, but I wanted to try something with a jubilee.

My take:

The DJ36 is just right. It is often said that the fluted bezel makes the watch wear larger and that is spot on. The super jubilee is more comfortable than the oyster bracelet and the roulette dial is a nice touch.

Very happy with my decision, let me know your thoughts!
