Need help from the AP experts
Hello,
This is my first post on the AP Discussion Forum. I currently own some Rolexes and Omegas, but I'm planning to acquire my first (and probably, only) AP. Ever since I started getting interested in the brand, I always had my heart set on the RO (Ref. 15400ST)... and I was sure that it would be my first AP. However, I recently saw someone at LAX wearing an ROO Chrono (Ref. 26470SO), and it simply looked amazing. To my embarrassment, I couldn't stop staring at it until the guy finally noticed me. I looked away as fast as possible, but it was too late. He took a peak at my GMT Batman, and said "Nice Watch" with a condescending grin. Just to be clear.... I don't believe that Rolex is an inferior brand to AP, but the noticeable price difference between SS models have some AP owners feeling otherwise. In any case, I would like to get the opinions of current AP owners. You're definitely more familiar with both watches. Please give me your expert advice (considering comfort, maintenance, market appreciation or depreciation, etc.) on which one should be my first, and most likely only AP. And please..... don't be the first one replying "Buy them both". Thanks in advance. |
