Brand new Explorer II accuracy

I purchased a brand new Explorer 2 Black dial a few days ago and noticed a consistent +9 sec. per day.

Is there a such thing as a 'brake in' period for watch to perhaps slow down a little and stabilize within the COSC requirements or should I be getting ready to send it off to RSC for regulation?

Thanks
