Upgrade: To raise (something) to a higher standard, in particular improve (equipment or machinery) by adding or replacing components.
The platona would fit because it's all about scratches. The bezel is now ceramic and less prone to scratches. Also the platinum metal is significantly harder than gold and again less prone to scratches. Finally the pricing is higher leaving the buyer with less scratch as well!!!
