Airking 14000 check
HI Guys,
I am more active over at OF (as I have more omega's than Rolex's but am growing my Rolex collection slowly), and need an opinion on a watch- I posted this there as well but nobody has commented and I need to move soon on this, so if you read it there, sorry for the cross post: I got an opportunity to pick up an airking 14000 from a guy I met via ebay (detailed the situation in another thread) https://omegaforums.net/threads/priv...-advise.94173/ and just want to get an opinion on if there are any red flags here. The seller was selling the bracelet on ebay, I bought it and after the transaction I initiated a conversation and we got chatty. I asked what watch the bracelet came from and he said his airking, but doesn't like bracelets and wears leather, so figured he would sell the bracelet to fund other things. I threw out a general- "if you ever feel like selling"- and he came back to me yesterday asking if I was indeed interested, he would like $1.5k for it as that was the amount his AD suggested was approximate value without the bracelet. I would be paying for the head only as I already own the bracelet. Is this a decent price for this watch in this condition? I will ask for case stamping pics. He sent me a pic of the movement when we first starting chatting (he bought a clear case back for it and sent me a pic), so the movement looks legit, can't find the message though. I have asked if he has boxes and papers but we can assume at this moment he doesn't- only a perk to me and not an imperative. He sent 22 detailed pics, this is a sampling of them. Comments and opinions appreciated. |
