Defective watch Seiko Save the Oceans

I purchased a Seiko Save the Oceans wrist watch less than 6 months ago, it's defective, even with a full wind it stops. I contacted the seller, his response was that it's warranted through Seiko. I am very angry that my watch has got to be sent for servicing and that I'll be inconvenienced for several weeks. The seller didn't offer to make it right or even a service watch. Even though I like this watch, I offered to pay the difference for a more expensive diver and got no response from the seller. I won't mention the seller, but needless to say, this vendor will not get anymore business from my credit card, and his site has a huge diversified line of timepieces, some of which are on my radar.
What do you folks think?
