SRP779 running fast

Hey all - I just picked up a brand new SRP779 to wear as a “beater” watch. The watch is running 30+ fast per day which seems, well, not great.

I don’t expect the watch to be super accurate, but today while wearing it out and about it is already 15 seconds fast. I set the time at 10:30am this morning.

I’ve reached out to Seiko customer service already, but wanted to see if anyone has experienced this with the 4R36 movement.
