It has to be a grail watch or some special significance for it to be worth it. You mentioned "building" a collection, and you could do a fair amount of building if you put the money towards other references. However, as others have mentioned, if you've got the itch, there is no substitute. I'm not a Daytona guy really but that diamond dial with the blue sub dials is stunning.
