I'll probably hate the replies..but..here goes...I've had a lot of Rolex's over the years..and about 15 years ago a friend called me to see if I was interested in his 1984 GMT. He was in Special Forces..and bought it in Germany at the PX. I have the box..Rolex paperwork and original receipt. He wore it..hard !. After a while I had a Rolex dealer put an aftermarket gold bezel on it..along with gold winder and hands. I had a gold/stainless bracelet that I put on it..I seldom wore it..and still have all the paperwork and box... It was serviced at the same time..and runs great...My question..have a I ruined a valuable watch ? thanks..JV..
