Rolex Price Increase In UK
According to Paul Thorpe a price increase is coming in October. Do you believe him or not. He seems fairly confident in his sources.

The UK has already seen two price adjustments (increases) in the last few years due to the £ devaluation. It wouldn’t surprise me if there was another increase in the UK, the £ is still dropping.

Last overall € price increase for mainland Europe was February 2016.
No idea if this year Rolex will adjust their prices globally. I guess not. |

I don’t mind his videos but I think he’s trying to whip up a frenzy as he’s got a watch show in Brighton next month...with grey dealers attending.

Rumours like this come out every couple of months.
As above, probably wants more activity at his show in Brighton next month. Anyone going out of interest? |

Having a price increase right before Christmas would be great marketing.

seems like speculation but raising prices on watches they can't even provide would be shady.

Price increase on brink of recession? Plus no watches available? I've lost all respect for rolex. Luckily I bought my gmtc ii at retail. Won't be buying another again. Wanted a daytona but instead will be buying the new santos Chrono in steel when it comes out

There's a certain limit I'd pay for a rolex. If the SS sub or gmt model go more than £8k I'd rather look else where. So many better watches out there on that price range. I'm not gona be taken for a mug like all these other buyers buying grey prices. Also I hate the snobbery from sales person that come with attempting to buy a rolex at the AD. Omega, cartier and other brands have fantastic watches out there, they may not keep the retail price but atleast you can buy one!

Monitoring the prices on watch finder will not doubt answer this question/speculation.
They are in business and doing well I.A.W companies house so they must have inside info......Keep an eye out! Last time, prices for the BLNR (oyster) jumped 500-1000 pounds before Rolex officially released news on the increase in October last year. A 3%,5% or even 10% increase will not change anything though. I have no idea why Rolex don’t increase by 20%...This is my humble opinion. |

People would still want them the same, and grey prices would be even higher. It may price you out, but would have no effect otherwise (except more profit per unit for Rolex) |

Along with the unavailability of many watches at the AD, the buying population has come to accept a $14k blnr or $20k Daytona as the new norm. Paying msrp is now becoming a privilege so for the rest of the customers, a blnr is a $14k watch in both reality and perception. If I were Rolex, I would not roll back from this trend. |

I had to re-read that 6 times before I understood where your AD’s statement started

I mentioned a potential UK price increase a few months ago as I was told by my AD just before the summer to expect one in September/October. This is the reason I bought my 126233 two weeks ago instead of marking an expected promotion in February 2020 as I didn't want to take the risk.
I have been told AD's do not get prior warning and are told the morning the increase comes into effect. |
