The value is in the face your GF went and picked it out for you....

Don't buy any modern watch for value, there are SOOOO many produced
now IF it ever matures it won't be in our lifetimes.

Keep it! Tell her thanks and wear it proudly and in good health. That is one hell of a present from a girlfriend. Man I would say she is definitely a keeper.

That is a great watch and one that is on my wrist list

I would not change it unless the date is an important feature to you. If that is the case I'd choose the LV anniversary sub. You can get a black insert to exchange with the green bezel. Plus, the Maxi dial of the LV is very good looking IMO.

I believe you are missing the point of being given a gift!!! Obviously your girlfriend cares enough about you to buy you a present. I was taught to not worry or get concerned about the value of a gift given to me. You have a great watch and should wear and enjoy it. Also consider the feelings of your girlfriend, if you were to take it back and exchange for something else she might tell you everything is OKAY. BUT READ BETWEEN THE LINES!!!

Decide which one YOU like the best and get that one. Forget about value unless you never plan on wearing it and treat it as an investment 100% (which does not make much sense). Enjoy!

Thank her and wear the watch she gave you. It is a classic Rolex that one can wear with a suit, jeans, a tux, whatever. She must be a very classy person who appreciates timeless design.

The only thing for which you should exchange that watch would be an engagement ring for the lady who gave the watch to you.
