The watch was advertised online by the AD as new. when I took delivery of the watch I only got chance to open the package and check the watch was in there and take a few quick photos which I then posted here on the forum and all looked ok. The next day I actually got time to take a closer look and that’s when I saw that someone (obviously at the AD’s) had for some reason attempted to polish it and what a mess they made. If they had told me in the first place the watch had been polished I’d never even consider buying it. Again I’ll say it was advertised as brand new.
Such a shame... I think the AD here is being unprofessional.

That does suck. The factory polish on GS is sublime

That is my favorite looking Grand Seiko. Maybe now that it is used and polished poorly maybe I can afford it. What was the dealers name.

Such a poor representation from the dealer

So annoyed with the AD trying to pass it off as new Least to say they’ll get no more business from me.

That's terrible OP. Real shame it soured your experience. Do you have any photos of the poor polish for reference? Perhaps it will help someone else in future.

Hope they took it back for a full refund!

Good catch by you. OP. Sorry you had the excitement followed by the disappointment. On to the next watch. And I would not use that AD!

For some reason I saw immediately that it seemed polished. The light was not reflected totally mirror as they use to. Good that you returned it.

They took it back and refund received can’t see how they could refuse a refund anyway. Just annoying how they could try and pass it off as new and I certainly won’t be purchasing from them again in the future.
