I Need an extra link for my Sky-Dweller

I need a link for a S/S Sky-Dweller (model 326934). As I'm sure you all know, it has an Oystersteel band, and the center link is polished.

Is there anything unique about the Sky-Dweller band, or would the link be the same as on other Rolex bands, as I'm having trouble locating a supplier for a Sky-Dweller link.

Thank you,
Richard

That's my last resort, as I'm trying to buy it online.

.

The links for Sky-Deller are larger than for other Rolex bands. 17mm instead of 16 generally.

p/n is 32-33316 (easylink 32-33317)

Go to your nearest AD, why risk buying aftermarket or links that might potentially not fit. I think my AD in Chicago charged me like 45/link.

It's the same size as the Sea Dweller 43mm. Would just need to high polish the center links.

I Need an extra link for my Sky-Dweller

I needed a half link for my stainless steel Sky-Dweller to get an optimal fit (I like having the Easy-Link on the center indent within the clasp to give me room to size up or size down). Rolex doesn't make a half link with the polished center link, but the half link included with the Rolex Sea-Dweller 43 fits the Sky-Dweller bracelet perfectly! I had my Rolex dealer polish the center link and it fits beautifully in my Sky-Dweller. The Sea-Dweller half links are easily obtainable through your Rolex dealer.

No excuse why Rolex won't make links available to AD's. The AD's should stock them rather than make customers wait and hope. Rolex can and should do better.

They should stock every link, for every model ever made? Presumably they need to have two of every link in case the customer before you bought the only one they had.

It’s not feasible. And it’s not an indictment against Rolex or the AD that they don’t have these waiting for you.

ADs will stock some of the most commonly used parts, if they have the demand for it. Otherwise they’ll order on a case by case basis. Just like a car garage, computer repair shop, literally any business that provides after sales service. Even RSC don’t stock everything.

Just in case I’m misunderstanding this; you set up your easy link on the clasp in the centre holes to give you the option to make it bigger or smaller in the future.

Doing so meant the watch doesn’t fit you properly in the present, so you had to purchase an additional half link...and have it modified to match the others?

Yes. Rolex should make all links available to AD's and/or customers. If AD's don't want to stock them, they should be able to order them for a customer and have them delivered within a week, at least for the current catalog models that are available for sale. I've seen posts on here where customers are told to wait 8 months for an SS oyster link for a SkyD.

Do you know if it’s the same size as one off a BLNR if so I have one I could sell. Actually now that I think about it I have a sky dweller and I could measure both. Lmk if still interested and I’ll measure

If I added an entire link, I had to wear the watch on the tighter of the three clasp indents. If I removed the link, I had to wear it on the looser of the three clasp indents. Living in Florida, temperature differences between being indoors and doing outdoor activities can make my wrist swell up or shrink up quite a bit. I wanted the clasp set at the center of the three indents, so that I could move it tighter or looser throughout the year, even with the Easy-Link feature, without having to add or remove an entire link. The half link allows me to have the watch fit perfectly for my wrist the way I need it to. The Sky-Dweller, like a Deep Sea, has a relatively heavy watch head, so fitment is key to getting the watch optimally comfortable.

They can/do make parts available to order. I receive my part orders next day. The only exception is when a part is out of stock in country (UK) or out of stock in Switzerland. Sometimes s**t happens.

Does anyone know if this advice of going to an AD applies to "classic" models ? I just bought a 17014 (1990) and I need to buy 2 links for it. The bracelet code is 17010.
