Zenith TT Daytona 16523

Recently bought this Zenith TT Daytona Slate dial ref. 16523. I've heard from multiple sources saying this is a rare Daytona. This got me curious how rare this watch is so I wonder if anyone on the forum know how many 16523 slate dial were made and years of production. I know it's a long shot, but i can't find any information after scanning through the site. Thank you in Advance!

Nobody but Rolex can answer your question. They don't release production information on any of their watches, and never have......and I'm guessing they never will.

Your watch is not rare, it was massed produced. Admittedly, you don't see them very often though. I have a 16523 A Serial black dial. It was made in 1998 / 1999 approximately, and was the last model year for the 16523 before going to the Rolex in-house movement the next year (2000). Awesome watch. Enjoy your new pick up.

Although the 16523 is not a "rare" watch I have seldom seen the slate dial variant/version. I think you've got a less common (but very beautiful) dial combination especially with the two tone bracelet/case.

I hate to say it, it might be fairly rare in the grand scheme of things, but I wouldn't say it is extremely collectible. Only the full gold and ss Zenith Daytonas have gone crazy price wise. As far as real numbers, no one knows.

Nice watch though - I like that combo a lot - enjoy!
