Clasp Color Variation on YG President Bracelet? Possible Fake?

I've seen some pics of pre-owned 18k President models in which the folding parts of the clasp (the two metal pieces which fold under the bracelet that have the Rolex logo and bracelet stamp) look a little strange. The color of the gold was lighter than the rest of the bracelet and watch. These were on the bracelets with the hidden clasp. Is this normal? I don't remember seeing this color variation on ones at the AD. Could this be a sign of a fake?

It's correct and also a sign of a genuine clasp as yellow gold President bracelets have a rose gold folding clasp from the factory. The rose gold is not as rosey as the rose gold used by Rolex on there rose gold models, but has enough of a hint of rose gold for you to see the difference.

On my original President (I am the only owner) the clasp folding sections are a different shade of 18K gold (slightly pinkish) than the watch and bracelet.

Earlier versions of the 18K hidden clasp on the 118238 had a "rose" tint to the inner clasp piece. Later versions were all the same yellow color. Mine is a Y series and it is all the same "butter like" yellow gold throughout the clasp.

I know what you are saying. The color difference looks suspicious, but it's for real.
