Explorer 216570 bezel paint repair.
In an attempt at removing a scratch from the bezel I’ve managed to also remove the paint within the numbered detents. Unfortunately Rolex will not replace without a full service. Any ideas how this can be fixed, or anyone in the U.K. could fix this?

I would suggest purchasing a hot tub style time machine and undo your mistake. Oh, and next time, don’t try to polish your own watch.

Seems to me that Testors model paint would work pretty well.

I can vouch for this. Apply with something very thin like a sewing needle and let the capilary action fill the indentation. Actually, you want to slightly overfill the indentation(s), let the paint dry for a short while, and then you'll be able to wipe away the excess from the surface of the bezel. There are a couple DIY articles floating around the internet if you need more comprehensive directions. If the depth of the engraving has been reduced too much during the refinishng process, it may no longer be deep enough to "hold" paint.

But how do you match the paint colour?
