Servicing cost for Sky Dweller

Can anyone share the servicing cost of a Sky Dweller by RSC? Thanks.

Assuming nothing wrong with it and just wanting to do a general service then as others said it seems to generally be in the $750 range. But that's a general assumption. Is the crystal cracked or scratched? Do you want it repolished? Is it running normally? How long since the last service (or initial new purchase)? All these questions might give you a better clue as to whether the cost would be higher. Only way to know for sure is to send it in. Then they will give you an exact quote. Good luck!

There's only 4 gears that drive the annual calendar complication, so I wouldn't expect for the rest of the movement to be much different (in terms of complexity) than any other date movement.

Sky-Dweller service starts at €900, then you'll most likely get something additional on top as well if the crown or crystal are no longer good.

Most AD watchmakers are not YM2 and Sky-Dweller trained, most only go up to Daytona.

I'm not sure how you know that but I can definitely confirm my ADs watchmaker said he wont open up my SkyD not even to do a requested regulation. Told me I need to send it to RSC

Haha, well that makes sense. My SkyD is rock solid less than 0.5sec variance per day no matter what my day looks like. But it came, out of the box, in bad need of an adjustment. I'll have to send it in eventually because 6+ secs is too much. I dont like having to pop the crown so often.

The standard service cost is only a hundred bucks more than a Daytona or Day-Date. So it's not too bad considering how advanced this movement is

I got my SkyD preowned and found this very faint line under the letter C. The line seems to be under the painted letter so I assume that as factory defect. Went to RSC unfortunately they do not have a spare dial but was told that they are getting a dial from Swiss. However, they said they need to assess the watch before commenting on the cost.

Do you think the dial can be replaced for free since my watch is within the warranty period?

Shall I wait till time for service (7th year maybe) then request dial change? If so, will there be a cost on replacement?

I see a whitish diagonal line under the E and R. I also see many dark lines under each letter but they appear to just be artifacts from the photo itself. Not sure what you are talking about but regardless if there is some flaw on the dial that is visible then rolex will certainly replace it for you because that's not acceptable. Whether it's worth it or not is up to you. Personally I would probably do it. But realize since this is pre owned you really don't know the servicing history for this watch. This could be something that was done from a watchmaker's attempt to service something for example. The RSC will certainly be able to distinguish between a manufacturing defect and some sort of scratch damage. In the latter case you would end up needing to pay for a new dial anyway. Certainly if you wait 7 years then the warranty will have expired and you will need to pay. Good luck with your decision. Hope it works out
