Day-Date - 1803 vs 18238 advice

Thanks for all of the advice (and the great pictures). I really liked the 1803 with the black pie pan dial but the one at Bobs did have a lot of wear on the bezel. While I was considering if that was acceptable, someone else decided it was ok and bought it. I’m going to keep looking. Thanks again everyone.

hope u find the right one, finding a stella dial too and digging the pie pan dial. My champagne 18238 has got me hooked on DDs. Any advice on price diff / variations between stella 18xx and 18xxx assuming its non diamond set, regular gold bar indices?

LOL, I bought that watch on ebay for 2200 dollars in the early aughts which was a good price even then. When it arrived it proudly displayed 'Unday' and 'Uesday'. It came with a recent receipt for service but obviously needed some attention.

I took it to Bob Ridley who said the oil was so dry it probably hadn't been serviced in 10 years. Bob worked his magic and it said 'Sunday' and 'Tuesday' forever more. :)
