Barakuda! I had the 70s, great watch but felt more like a dressier sport watch rather than a BP dive watch. I regret not getting the Barakuda when I had the opportunity.

Both very nice - I slightly prefer the design of the 'kuda, but the Bathy is a better size for me.

Both great pieces, I'd choose the 70's I love the dial and for me the kuda would look a little redundant to my divers collection.

+1 on Barakuda...I've been eyeing it for a while, it wears nicely on the wrist.

Tried on the 70s and it was great on my wrist. The flat picture above does not do the dial justice. The only turn off was the placement of the day/date window(s). It is almost like the dial is a bit too small for them. I played at the AD for a while and decided to pass, as I am a bit of a snob when it comes to date complication.

Barracuda looks great!

Don’t understand what people see in the bathyscaphe. IMO it looks very generic. Maybe someone can enlighten me?

The first reissue of the Bathyscaphe, back around 2012.......loved it!!! The grey meteor dial on this one or the new grayish to brown on the date 70s are as nice a dial as one can find on a diver!!c

The day-date is a bit odd IMO as it eats into one of the Bathy's strengths, the clean dial.

The 70's was surprisingly a bit underwhelming in real life, but I can imagine it growing on me after the first impression.

I’ve got the Date 70’s and love it. Pictures never do it justice. Can’t wear it with everything so it can’t be your only watch.

Didn't like the 70's so much in pics, saw one on the bracelet IRL and it was gorgeous, the angled facets of the indices + the dial graduation- well nice....but then the Barracuda isn't ugly either.....
