Bezel insert original and faded or replaced?

I’ve had my 16613 for about 2 months and after seeing another 16613 and a tt black dial sub in the wild I noticed my bezel numbering doesn’t seem as gold colored as the real gold on the watch. I purchased it as an original untouched watch so now I’m curious.

Any help is much appreciated!

A quick google and I saw similar bezels from older watches. Maybe that's just the way it is??

Inserts are anodized aluminum, which degrades over time.

The gold in your bracelet will always be gold.

I googled and the numbers looked more gold to me.

Thanks! So would it be prudent to purchase a new bezel insert for this while they’re available so it can go with the watch when it goes to my progeny?

The font should be off white for a TT 16613, and gold font for the 18k 16618. Your looks to be correct for a D or F serial TT 16613.
What serial number is your watch? Here's my D serial 16613 with serti dial that I bought new in 2005 for reference.

Get a new one if you like. They will be readily available for many years. No need to worry.
