If you have no prior history with an AD, buying a PM watch and expecting a BLRO at the same time or in a couple of weeks may not be realistic expectation. Yes, the bundled deals can be made, but does not necessary means that the AD in DFW area will have the BLRO/Daytona to sell in the same transaction. This has been my experience. |

no need to waste time with AD, a DD is unlikely to get you a BLRO any time soon.

I walked into Bachendorfs today to pick up a Bleusy they had for me. The had a TT YACHMASTER that my wife just glanced at. I bought that too for her just to promote my chances. Would really like the new Kermit (didn’t ask for bundle). Just trying to climb the ladder.

Do find some of this behaviour strange though to just buy a watch for that kind of money just to climb up the ladder. I really struggle with all the BS and arse kissing I just can’t bring myself to do it, I buy everything grey. Much better experience. |

Why is there even a question. DD are over priced at the greys as are the GMTs. Get the DD if you want one anyway and work the GMT into the deal!!!

Similar situation I was in. Wanted both a Pepsi and DD40 from my AD with no prior purchase history. Went in around August and was able to get my DD40 ordered in 2 weeks(September). Upon purchasing expressed I would love a Pepsi by Xmas. He said their waitlist is around a year or two. 3 months later I have a Pepsi in my possession courtesy of my AD. It’s worth a shot.

I have both. Get the dd40 its more comfortable and the bracelet is killer. The best move you can make is get a dd40 from a grey and save yourself 10% because most ADs will not give you a penny off or get you the next Pepsi that comes in.

Was sitting on the fence for a BLNR for 1.5 years waiting for grey market price erosion but it never happened. I have no relationship with a local DFW AD based on multiple Rolex watch or jewelry purchases that I don't want. I knew I would never get a BLNR from a local shop based on my purchasing pattern with the local ADs. In the end, I determined it was less money out the door if I just purchased BLNR on the grey market above retail. It came down to basic math on how much money I was willing to spend to get the BLNR. I don't like paying above retail but life is short so I purchased the BLNR on the grey market. Enjoying the watch every day now. No regrets

Depends where you are at...pay attention to the grey market to get an understanding of what the market looks like for particular models. If they are selling for close to retail or more chances are ads aren’t going to discount you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

These days my advice is just forget the bundling technique. All ADs that I've spoken to dont even care about it anymore because gold watches are all the hype now so they dont need to bundle anything to make the sale.
A DD40, Full gold Sub or SkyD sells themselves these days and by looking at the current prices on the gray dealers many of the solid gold pieces are selling above MSRP so for an AD to sell at MSRP is absolutely ZERO problems now. |

Okay. In all the talk here about bundling and what not, I don't get a real sense of what it is you really want--which should be the real issue.
Let's face it, either one of your two choices here is a show stopper, each in their own beautiful way, and if you don't take the time to enjoy it, by worrying about what's next, what's the point? |
