Superocean 36?

Hi new to forum. Looking at Superocean automatic 36 in either light blue or orange face. On fence about either rubber or metal bracelet. Anyone with any experience with either or opinions on which is better? Looking to use while surfing, mt biking, etc. Hard to find much in the way of reviews on women’s dive watches....no offense to any gents with this watch:-). I do have a Cartier Cle for dressier times. So this is meant to be a little bit more of a watch to take a little abuse.

Metal bracelet is the way to go. You can always swap it out for rubber or other types of straps in the future. It’s much more difficult to find a metal bracelet after the fact of you find you should have gone that route. It’s a great watch. Good luck!

Definitely buy it on the bracelet and add at least one rubber strap. The econyl Nato straps are also very comfortable as well although a little pricey.

The NATO straps look great, almost like those more than the rubber. Now I just have to decide orange or blue...getting closer to a purchase

I would suggest a bracelet. Although I know two lady's that have them, one a nurse, the other a paramedic and they both prefer the factory silicone straps. I will add that they wear them all the time , there primary watch.

Welcome to the forum by the way!

Definatly bracelet. Can change straps later. Don’t need to spend an arm and a leg on belreitling branded straps either.
I just put my 42 on a an aftermarket rubber strap and will switch back when it suits me. The spring bats were a bear bit any local shop would pull it off for cheap.

Yes, I forgot about the one you put on your Superocean. I does look awesome. Would you post another picture of yours and of the buckle?

Quick release pins

$20 Amazon and surprisingly good quality for that price
Edited to add the one I ordered came with short and long end strap. Also they call it silicone so I guess not technically rubber but I can’t tell the difference

I bought a 36 for my wife on rubber strap. The strap is unwearable in my opinion, as it is way to stiff and does not break in. in contrast, I have the 42 on rubber and it is much more pliable and comfortable. Bottom line, love the watch, but go with the bracelet on the 36.

That is good to know. Have you been able to get a metal bracelet or NATO strap for your wife? I think def going metal & probably the blue dial. Info on here has been really helpful

Yes, she purchased several Barton rubber straps in various colors. They are pliable and extremely comfortable, and they are quick release. Lots of strap options out there for this watch, I believe it is 18mm lug to lug. Good luck

Mine is a Barton as well and very pleased. Probably pick up a couple of more for some of my other watches, and maybe another color for my superocean.

I picked up the light blue outerknown Nato strap for an older colt of mine and this would look perfect on the blue dial Superocean.

Welcome to TRF! I think the blue dial on bracelet is a good choice. Also getting a rubber strap, Nato and a leather strap you would be cover for all occasions. Good Luck and post what you end up getting!
