Sure at some point in the future a mechanical watch may become obsolete but aren’t they that now, after all why do we need a mechanical watch when the latest bit of digital tech from Apple or one of the many other makers offers so much more for so much less? Watches from 50 years ago can be and are still repaired today, so in 20 years time who knows what the state of play will be in anything we take for granted now. Live for today and worry about tomorrow when it arrives.

I‘be had my ND for one month and I absolutely love it. One of the best aspects of the watch is how versatile it is, not only on the bracelet but also with a variety of straps.

For me best Rolex diver ever! I like the charm of 4 or 5 digit but 124060 is superior and much better then previous 114060.

I bought one last February. I wear it about 75% of the time. Really have enjoyed it.
My only knock is how big the clasp is. I’m pretty much over it now, because everything else is so perfect. |

Did the 21mm lug width almost make this model a no go for anyone? I’m some what divided on it so far.

View the watch and decide whether to buy??? On a more serious note, congratulations! The preceding model feels more chunky. Wear it. Enjoy it. Decide if it’s a safe queen, a once a week thing or a “I’ll wear it everyday” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I do think it’s hard to pull a NATO off on a 6 digit.
The 6 digit has lost its predecessor 5 digit rugged look IMO. |

STRONGLY debating the six-digit 124060. I am an ardent supporter of the 5513 and 14060M, but the case updates and improvements are nice.
How many other 14060M converts are there that skipped the last gen 114060, but the 124060 sung to them? Still enamored with the 124060? |

Congratulations, if it’s your thing, then go for it. Not for me, albeit mine was a 124060; we’re talking about the exact dimensions. Bracelet is comfortable as can be; many say the watch wears like 40mm. However, in my opinion, it doesn’t. I’ve had at least thirty 40mm Rolexes over the years, and this one doesn’t fit the same. I’ve got small wrists, and a 40mm is the perfect dimension. Go for it; if you don’t like it, flip it.

How does the clasp wear vs the previous generation? I have the hulk and am waiting on the 124060.

Excellent feedback, and thank you. I feel like this is sentiment from many having researched further here.

I tried on a 124060 two days ago. The 114060 to me is better in every single detail making it the best modern Rolex there is. I do prefer the slightly wider bracelet of the 12 but the clasp is nowhere near better than the 11. I appreciate if the 11 had the wider bracelet the. It wouldn’t have the wider lugs which I love. That said if you hadn’t owned an 114060 you’d never notice any differences. It’s a great watch but not better than the previous model at all.
