Help with clasp code and date

Hi All,

Rolex (and forum) newbie here. Just picked up an X-serial Datejust (circa 1991) that comes on a jubilee (62510 H) stamped as below.

Could someone with significantly more experience and knowledge please help me decipher what the "S9" means?

According to the reference document, it could be September, 1994. But "I've also read that an S can indicate a service clasp.

Any ideas which I may have?

Thanks

Welcome to the Forum!

In this example, the S is the date code as you indicate for 1994.

If there is an S in addition to the date code, means it was changed during a service.
