Vacheron dual time 47450 yay or nay?

Looking for a dress watch for weddings and events and have seen one of these, 2010 model full set. Anyone got any experience with this? I prefer this to the new one. Don’t like standard dress watches, so this seems to do the job. Also seen a white dial a touch cheaper. Everything else I have is sporty, offshore 43, ceramic diver, cermit.

Does it wear like a 42 or a touch smaller? Like bigger watches.

I think in general the Overseas feels a bit smaller, especially with the black dials. The dial size itself does that. The watch itself though does not wear very small as the lug to lug is pretty significant. For me the perfect Overseas size is the maximum lug to lug your arm can fit without too much of a gap under. For me that was the Chrono, the dials of the DT felt a bit too small.

I’ve seen a white dial but not a fan, it’s quite a lot cheaper. Only chrono I can find at a decent price is the deep stream on rubber which seems to be ebbing back to sporty and doesn’t do the job.

Love the intricate dial. Might pull the trigger!

Always been a fan of this model & I agree it may be better than the modern iteration. I'd hope the price is good & that it would have had a service though, especially 2010

I like this watch in the blue dial and have thought about it several times.

Great watch. Wears like its size at 42mm. It can be a bit heavy/chunky with the bracelet on, but I would not have any reservations about getting it.

Worth looking in Chopard chronos if you like bigger watches. Not a DT but their chrono in steel is 44m i believe and probably cheaper than the VC brand new and a beautiful watch.

Wanted it for a while but ended up with 7900. The crystal case back and quick-change strap won.

Not a fan. So many options in the market for dress watches.

I was the same. This was around $15k usd when i placed my deposit for a 7900V ~12 months ago. This example also has JLC movement.
