1973 Rolex 1603 Datejust Silver Sima Pie Pan Dial Custard Patina With Papers

For sale is an excellent condition 36mm stainless steel Rolex Datejust. The 3.3 million serial 1603 was originally retailed in 1973 and is accompanied by its original warranty papers, warranty booklet, and a serialized hang tag.

The Rolex features a brushed steel case, which is accented by a fixed steel engine turned bezel. The Datjeust is mounted on its original oval link USA Jubilee bracelet, which is secured by a deployant clasp. The Jubilee bracelet is fully linked, and will comfortably fit a 7.6 inch wrist. The Roelx features a silver Sigma Pie-Pan dial with applied polished white gold stick hour markers, polished white gold tritium coated hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The Sigma dial has stood the test of time extremely well, while the tritium lume plots and hands have acquired a gorgeous even custard patina. The movement used in the 1603 is the Rolex caliber 1575, which was recently overhauled and is keeping excellent time.

The case has stood the test of time well and remains thick with even crisp untouched lugs. The engine turned bezel remains crisp and also appears to be untouched. Overall the Rolex is in excellent condition, and is a clean well preserved example of a late 1603 Datejust.
