[EVALUATION NEEDED!] Vintage 8724 Rolex
Hi guys, I'm writing from Italy and I'm no native speaker, so please forgive my mistakes!
I've inherited a gold Rolex from the Fifties, bought by my grandfather in 1953. The reference is 8724 ("champs elysees") - I attach a few pictures. How much is it worth, in your opinion? Thank you so much and cheers from Italy! |

Wow.
Never saw that model before. Here are some auction results. https://www.collectorsquare.com/en/w...rolex-8724/lpi The one that sold in 2017 has an cloisonne dial, that is incredibly rare and expensive, your watch is not comparable to that one. The one offered for sale in 2016 did not meet reserve. So, you are left with two that actually sold one in 2013, 1 in 2006. Yours would be more valuable with the original gold bracelet, and the market has appreciated considerably since then. In the end, it's only worth what two people are willing to pay at auction. These don't change hands regularly in the open market. Last edited by MILGAUSS88; 13 September 2022 at 12:59 AM.. Reason: .. |
