Anyone have any idea why some have the transparent caseback and some do not? I own one with a stainless steel caseback so I called GO and they said they don’t ‘customize’ their historical Ltd. pieces and wouldn’t answer whether I could improvise or if they offered a sapphire option. Apparently this was never ‘officially’ offered with a sapphire caseback so it’s quite confusing. Even the Hondinkee used page says it’s a solid stainless steel caseback.

That's odd - I thought they only came with the sapphire casebacks. Never owned the panodate but did have a navigator with the small date at 3:00. Had the transparent caseback and remember when the panodate first came out and thought it similarly had the sapphire back. Don't own the watch anymore...but bought a senator excellence due to missing that design and wearing experience. Love GO

I actually prefer the feel of the stainless steel as with most sapphire back ones I own but it’s such a beautiful movement it would be nice to see it. |

Was happy to hear of someone else with the Senator Navigator…loved that series and was quite jealous of the panorama date when I first saw it. Great watch |
