When did rolex start marking "chronometer perpetual" on the rotors?
Hi all,
First time poster, long term lurker. Picked up a new 124060 yesterday from a trusted dealer. took it to my local indy watchmaker who is very experienced with rolex to take the back off (as i do with any non AD purchases). first thing i noticed when we looked at the movement was "chronometer *logo* perpetual" on the rotor. In older models ive only ever seen the logo on the rotor with no other writing but on rolex website it shows the 3230 movement now stamped with above writing. My question is - did they only just start this for 2022 and why do some 3230 seem to have it and some not? I would love to show a picture of my movement but im not able to post pictures yet |

Could this be the "Silent Fix" that we have been waiting for ?
Or could it be the way Rolex can tell if a watch with a 32xx movement has been fixed or not ? How old is the watch ... When was it first purchased as new ? Has it been serviced at Rolex ?

Its the third iteration of the -570 rotor, called 3230-570-2.
First they added more balls to the bearing, then the engraving. Not sure exactly when but I'd say early 2022 we got the -2 as spare part. |

The mainspring barrel on the 32×× has also changed, no part number change but the finishing is different on the top side. The reversers now also have the zirconium clicks like on the 22×× movements, a fine upgrade |
