Our Take
The 16234 straddles between the perfect blend of vintage and modern. The ref. 16234 was among the first five-digit offerings within the Datejust family, and importantly one of the first to also use a sapphire crystal. This is the first time we’ve seen this actual dial type with black finish and silver print. The dial also has an unusual chapter ring that scoops into each of the applied hour markers.

This particular ref. 16234 is in excellent pre-owned condition, meaning there are very light signs of wear. The bracelet is in excellent condition, fits up to about 7.50" (more links on request). This watch was just cleaned and is running excellent.
