local AD has two Daytonas on the shelf.. 1 black, 1 white
just a quick note, I walked into my local AD and found two SS Daytonas ready to roll..
Black dial - V serial White dial - M serial I think he said they were both $9900.... in the showcase, ready to go. I'll email ya the details if you are interested.. just passing it along :)

To be fair, Rolex didn’t release the the ceramic SS Daytona until 2016.
Not clear if it was just the time period (2016 was when watch craze really started to take off) or it was the ceramic bezel that started the endless Daytona demand. Maybe both. |

Even the Zenith Daytona was hard to get in the late 90's. I vividly remember walking into my current AD for the very first time back around '09 and being offered a Daytona out of the vault as soon as I said I was interested in Rolexes. Every slot in every case was full. Too bad I was broke then.

2009 feels sooo long ago, I remember hearing about the unobtainable SS Daytona back in 2000 or so and it was still at round $8-9k if I recall correctly. I think the black dial was the more difficult one to get too at the time.
