Cruel on Oscar to find out he was demoted mid interview - not sure why the stewards took so long.
Poor form from Stroll - appreciate he’s having a rough spell, but he should always maintain his professionalism. Hopefully Max parties too hard tomorrow after winning WC and sits the race out on Sunday to make it a bit more interesting!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

![]() Perhaps would be better to have a broadcaster insert an analysis time block at some tracks that have many turns being judged for track limits. Then the decisions would be completed. If you look at the table below, you’ll see what the Stewards dealt with in a scant 10 second interval on 4 different infringements among 3 drivers at 3 different turns. ![]() ![]() Being pushed by broadcasters to get all in-race decisions at the end of a session isn’t the primary goal - getting the right decision is the goal. ![]() Not a rant - just sharing in the spirit of explanation. Congrats to Max V... and to the impressive Aston Martin Safety Car driver who may have led more laps this race than all competitors.
HUGE congrats to McLaren!

Maybe??? Because HAM was on Softs.
RUS was trying to overtake VER on the outside approaching the apex of turn 1. Subsequently, HAM tried to overtake RUS further on the outside in a late move and crossed in front of RUS before completing the overtake. The Stewards determine that HAM was predominately to blame for the collision. Applying the 2023 Driving Standards Guidelines for overtaking at the outside of a corner, the Stewards noted that there was a significant portion of car 63 alongside car 44 and therefore determined that car 63 was entitled to racing room in turn 1. HAM did not manage to do the overtaking maneuver in a safe and controlled manner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Worst race of the year imo.
Dust/sand all over the track. Pit stop rules made it hard to follow race positioning. Overheating drivers. Track limit penalties everywhere. Total lack of atmosphere. |

Well it seems he isn’t summoned for the contact in Turn 1 (yet)… My guess above was only based upon TV and RUS in-car. Currently HAM is only summoned for walking across the track. ![]() EDIT: He got off easy on the collision … ![]() But not so easy for strolling across the track. Hamilton goes strictly by the rules...his rules.
Norris did well coming up from 10th to finish 3rd, could he have got 2nd, I don't know? Piastri seemed to driving stead to get clean air and I don't think he was at any stage trying to make a bid for 1st place. Verstappen now world champ for 2023....zzzz I'm glad I had a good night's sleep and watched the highlights ![]()

Gotta agree with you. The required pit stops were a joke. Shame on Pirelli for providing such shit tires.

TV screen capture of the wrist of the biggest a$$hole in F1. Just because Max is sponsored by Tag Heuer, doesn't mean his old man has to wear one. Nice watch though.

Isn't it time that Perez, Sargarent and Stroll find a new gig? If the first person you're compared to is your teammate in the same equipment, the results speak for themselves. Perez was not only lapped by Max today who seemed to be on cruise control and not pushing 100%, but there was a huge gap after the lapping.
Toto, Lewis and Russell deserve each other. Hamilton/Rosberg 2.0 is upon us. Bring back refueling. Independent of the conditions, what the mandatory 3 pit stops showed us today is that driving flat out instead of to predetermined lap times to save tires is difficult and makes for unpredictable results. |

Perez <-> Lawson.
NOW! With such an untalented driving, he may even lose his 2nd place on the drivers championship with one of, if not even the best car. This is not even acceptable, not even sustainable in such close resulted races. And yes, IMHO Ham should have retired years ago, he should definitely stop his one-man show now. I think, this behavior only proves that he was never really a real champion, just a lucky guy, who was in the right place at the right time. Today, we are at the point where he simply cannot bear the fact that his car is not the fastest, and if necessary, he endangers his own life and that of others without caring about anything. Let it be enough from that now! Retire as long as he can do it without losing his reputation and don't wait until you he will be ashamed. Anyway, I wasn't satisfied with the tyre "solution" either. Even though I understand and fully agree with the need for safety, I strongly disagree with forcing the teams to make three mandatory pit stops. The pilots were visibly so close to fainting and losing consciousness that if they had to complete a few more laps, it could have led to serious accidents. As the pilots raised their helmets one by one, it became apparent that they could not handle the conditions. In my opinion, this must never happen again! Lets learn about it, and do not let them drive in such conditions. ![]() |

While the cause for the Pirelli 18 lap EOL was unique - the last time such a problem arose was 2005 with Michelin at USGP at IMS - it inserted a new strategy twist. At that event FIA stayed out of it - it was a team’s individual decision.
What I disliked was not having a team/drivers meeting before taking Pirelli’s decision. They should have been consulted since F1 rights holder and stakeholders were. Because it was made with FIA approval, and given that prior strategy decisions had positioned certain teams differently, then releasing 2 new sets of each compound might have been more equitable. It wasn’t as if the budgets would be burst. Of course, the results behind RBR might have remained the same, but the racing wouldn’t have been a “lap delta fiasco”. Lewis Hamilton has been given a reprimand, his first of the season, as well as being given a €50,000 fine for walking across a live track. However, €25,000 of this fine will be suspended on condition that Hamilton does not commit any further transgressions between now and the end of the season.
