Co-worker noticed my GMT

A co-worker noticed a pic of my GMT on my Web page over the weekend. He asked me if it was real knowing that I had purchased a NYC fake in 2004. I explained to him that the GMT on my wrist is, infact, a genuine Rolex. He asked to look at it and asked the rather awkward question, "How much was it"? I replied that I spent $11 for my NYC fake and that my genuine GMT was a whopping $13. Did he really think I would tell him?

OK back on topic.. u tossers

Yeh only 1 of my colleagues has noticed mine, in a meeting she goes 'oh look at that is it real'? I quickly grabbed my sleeve to cover it up, I dont think the other team members noticed it. I am dredding the 'how much' question and when my parents see it - I might come up with some folex story, they'd be shocked and would probably tell me off for spending this kinda money on a watch! They dont need to know... actually, nobody needs to know!

Why does JJ always get the fake rollie tosser points thrown at him? Did he buy a gold plated one or something? Or does he get fake jokes because he is so loyal to this board?

He gets that because a few months ago he posted some pics without removing what we are not supposed to see.
Take a look for yourself.

Just say $100 a month, started saving 5 yrs ago. They'll admire your saving skills and maybe won't do the math.

My dad asked how much. I told him it wasn't cheap, but that I got a good deal since it was preowned. He didn't need to know more than that.

You don't have to answer, instead play the Politician card & just make a general statement such as...
"You know, they are making fakes better these days"
And leave it at that.

at my job when you are hired you get a lump sum bonus check (5-10K)

most people put the money towards a downpayment, others pay off that nagging credit card, when people ask me what I did with mine, I just check the time...

Hi Thurnau,

Don't listen to these tossers. All my Rollies come from one of the finest ADs in this part of the world....hell, even better than some of the ADs I've seen in Hong Kong and parts of Europe I visited.

And yes, you're right....I do get the jokes hurled at me probably 'cause I'm so loyal to the board and the brand!!

A fellow co-woker knew I was really into watches, now she has a full-size DJ MOP w/ bling, and currently has me shopping for a Kermit. She's really taking to watches fast!

I have a WIS in training and he's the only one who's ever commented on my watch. Initially I commented on his SMP and he asked what I had on my wrist and I showed him my ExpII, which impressed him.

So when I showed up at our weekly meeting with my PAM01, he just about flipped. Now he wants a 104!

He'll have a blast this weekend at the GTG.

Earlier this year I use to wear my GMT II (rouge/noir bezel) to my club, some asshole noticed it and would continually ask if it was 'real' each time I was at the bar getting a drink. I ignored him completely.

The third or fourth time he cracked "Hey here's the fake Rolex Man again"

I think he was jealous.

He's not there anymore. His membership lapsed.

Only on a recent Pacific Cruise did my GMT get noticed more than once. This time, the inquires and comments were nice and polite.
