Nato on 124060 sub
Has anyone put a nato style strap on the newest model submariner - 124060?
I am contemplating getting one but want to be able to wear on a nato occasionally. Is there enough space between spring bar and watch case to slide strap through with ease? Thanks to anyone who has info on this. |

I love a NATO, but not on a Rolex. Have you considered rubber?

Yep I’m a pretty big fan of the nato. Plenty of room to strap them in. I have a bunch of 20mm natos that I use across a few different watches. The 124060 has a 21mm lug but it’s such a small gap you can hardly tell. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I sometimes wear natos on my 114060 which I would imagine has the same space as the 124060 and they fit fine. I guess only a thicker canvas style nato could be an issue. But for the low price of a nato just give it a try.

There are plenty of 21mm Natos out there. Crown and Buckle have some but I agree with the rubber suggestion--I have a Rubber B that Ill occasionally throw on my Sub.

NATO can work, but sailcloth looks better to me.

I would skip the nato and try the Erika’s mn straps. Customizable, Cleaner more comfortable fit and thinner as well.

It works but it is not my favorite. The bracelets are so good on the modern Rolex watches I think it is a waste to put them on NATO's. I put my Tudors on NATO's all the time.

I've seen a few pics of it and it looks pretty good I think, much better than the 114060 did.
But....if you want to wear a diver on Natos an FXD is very much worth it IMO. Great dedicated Nato strap watch, wears fantastic with the lightweight Ti case, and it's readily available unlike a Sub. I have a 126610 and a black FXD, love them both. |

Thank you for the comments. I think the newer 124 series looks very good with the nato with its slimmer lugs. Glad to know it fits easily. Ok now I just have to find a sub to buy)….

I went through a NATO phase with my 14060m because I didn’t like the jangly bracelet. I probably had two-dozen at one time and have given half of them away. They are fun and I liked switching colors to fit my mood and there’s a little thrill to wearing a multi-thousand dollar watch on a thirty dollar strap. But in the end I got the jangly bracelet tightened up and reunited it with the watch and the NATOs just sit in a box. Do it, it’s fun for awhile.

Timely thread. Recently got the new Sub and received my Bergeron tweezers, so shopping for some NATOs to try. Was concerned with the gap on 20MM straps and 21MM lugs, but that pic above doesn't look bad at all.
Going to try some 21MM C&B and maybe something from WOE or ZA. |
