Icon5 Geneva

Headed to Geneva in mid August. Staying near the airport for several days.

Never been to Geneva. What is there to do in the city? Besides the Patek museum, not really into museums.... More into photography, landscapes and architecture. Enjoy old churches.

We are trying to keep the trip budget friendly so not really interested in fancy meals and high end shopping - would like to look at watch stores (ADs and/or Grey market).

What should be expected? What are some simple day trips for this area? Alps? Anything to see in Biel? What about Le Locle?

Is Geneva a safe place to wear watches?

Old town new town separated by a bridge over lake Geneva .. plenty to do, lovely church in old town, right on,the lake they have markets and stalls so very enjoyable, lovely cafes, we went to one that had a mountain of cakes and chocolates. Lady Godiva is a cheaper pub/food place, pizzerias great, plenty really nice cafes, the park usually has something going on and is a lovely cafe there too ..
Only downside is where the square is a lot of people offering powder that’s white .. not talcum powder either ..
Safe to where watch ? Where’s safe or not safe, just be careful .. as in any city .. enjoy, we love Geneva

Thanks for the tips. Can you recommend any easy day trips? Perhaps headed towards the Alps? Again, nothing crazy, just a casual day trip.
