A great trip with a rented 911 in Yosemite.

What a place!!! Wish I had had my own 911 though!

I didn’t. This was all for her….she loves everything about the car! She saw it for the first time in the showroom at a Cars & Coffee event at the Ferrari dealer a couple months ago and she was wowed over! Plus the fact she had seen that the FF and Lusso offered back seats (she’s always a fan of 4 vs 2 seats) awhile back and expressed a quiet interest and wishful thinking type vibe to me 5/6 months ago. The 8 is plenty and the color/specs on this were everything she loved.

Agreed! Thank you Nicholas. It’s not a concours car but very , very good..“just right” as far as I’m concerned for drivability without worrying about any little thing that may come along. It’s the perfect amount of “patina” to where I appreciate the classicness of it. Proud to show it off, but not scared to drive.

Yes - indeed! I meant I wanted to be driving my own personal car (which is in Europe) rather than having to have rented one in the US! It was an epic trip!!!

Nice pics. The "911targa4gts" is a great candidate for the model designation delete option! Amazing car but might as well infuse the window sticker on the rear windscreen.

If you remember, they also removed the gatling gun from James Bond's Aston Martin before the auction. It's sad, but unfortunately, these days the road authorities do not allow dangerous parts to be installed on the chassis that may harm unsuspecting pedestrians. Such a shame, what a world like this...

1st full EV that I’ll have (moving from an Evoque hybrid). “Turbo” without an engine

I still have my 911 992, so I still get to experience a real engine! Maybe best of both worlds?
