I think they did a great job on the design. Love the way the time is displayed and the bezel screws.

To ensure an unobstructed view of the miniature COMPANION on the dial side, time has literally been pushed to the side by using a peripheral time display that offers new aesthetic possibilities for both movement and dial designs. The hour and minute hands rotate around the periphery of the movement and dial, thanks to two visible, superimposed gear wheels driven by pinions and guided by rollers.
From AP’s website So, yes it does tell time, smarty pants |

For a 200K whimsically designed concept watch that I have bright we the cash or wrist to pull off…… it’s fantastic.
Love the new handset design that dosnt clash with the interior art, Love the case shape and finishing for a watch that big, and really like the humor of the Kaws figure pressing up against the glass. While the colab is front and center it’s well executed in AP design language and the color or finishing all comes together nicely IMO. I’ve read loads of hate but this is my favorite colab piece to date ….. and AP took some chances which I can appreciate I guess I’m in the minority ..Explorer, Spring Diver & APRO.. |

Not a fan at all, they need to make a concept for people with normal, non Hulk size wrists. The amount of LEs AP is pumping out is becoming quite absurd and starting to lose their allure. We are one more LE away from becoming Hublot :/

Dude this is outstanding. And as somebody else mentioned - reminiscent of the RM 88 Smiley.
Not for everyone but definitely for KAWS collectors - digging these APxArt collaborations Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Actually kinda like it. As others have said, the execution and materials are definitely different and IMO a bit more clever than the Marvel pieces.
That said, I do wish we could go for 2 months without seeing yet another limited edition AP... It's beginning to reek a bit of desperation, esp given that all of these LEs are $150k+ it seems. I know AP is by no means a "pedestrian" brand but it'd be nice to have a semi-decent new release at ~35-45k without straight 6-figure pieces constantly |

I appreciate your ability to criticize a brand that you've clearly been a big supporter of over the recent years and I completely agree with your post.

they need to put out something that is similar to a 67-01. a slim and elegant watch that's still breaking the rules and experimental. i'm pretty sure their concept line isn't even that much of a hit right? it feels like anyone who wants that look goes for RM instead |

Kaws x AP RO Concept tourb
I think it's a cool and fun piece. Kaws has a large cult following mainly among younger generation. It's clear by now that AP are trying to target the next gen of wealth when compared to PP or Rolex who are happy with the status quo.
They also released this limited to 100 sculpture of Companion on Le Brassus HQ, $16k and sold out already! |

They need to just be careful not to be Hublot I swear today watch Eric has a reel on when he started in the business Hublot was the jam! Another poster mentioned prices and yes it would be nice to see a 30-60k collab piece with no limit in a 39mm or 41mm Also all 0f these 37mm Openworks they dropped. Ummmmm if they were 39mm they would flyyyyyyyyy. Maybe these are for the Asian market. Would make total sense but that market is in free fall right now and one domino away from a major market crash (*not Japan), while us crazy Merican’s over here are still going crazy and now we have Trump… to hopefully pull us up and forward |

What other RO Concept are cool? Not including Marvel, John Mayer or Travis Scott ones.

John Mayer and Travis are not concepts. Beside wearability which was awful before Marvel and these 43mm editions all concepts are by the horology point of view very very very cool pieces... Marvel is only cool from some other perspective far away from watchmaking, and Kaws can fit both worlds because of the new movement...
