AP Owl 25595SA poor finishing/brushing?
Hey all,
I got my hands on a grail watch with the AP 25594SA. It’s from my trusted dealer and all legit but some of the brushing seems off where the case meets the first bracelet link. My dealer recommends not too touch it but is happy to rebrush for free if I want. My question: what do you all think? Leave as is? Or adjust? Or is there even something deeper that I should look at? Look at the pictures it’s visible in certain lights and angles. Thanks all! |

I’ve owned this 2-tone moonphase version, as well as the all stainless 25594ST moonphase version.
The polish really should only be done by AP themselves and not by some random jeweler. I would leave it as-is since it probably doesn’t look bad at all in person and enjoy it as a great vintage timepiece. Btw, the owl is actually the 25572 which doesn’t have the moonphase…

Please please PLEASE send it in to AP IF you feel like it needs a polish... I'd never have a random jeweler "touch up" an AP polish job

exactly... thanks, agree it's the common consensus in the watch community... i was just wondering if anyone has seen this difference on the same surface.

There are so many poorly polished royal oaks floating around unfortunately… I would pass on this.
I had the same red in SS and it did not look anything as bad as this. |

Very nice watch and I would leave it alone. Great as it is.
