FS: 1980 Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date 34mm Unpolished Silver Dial Gold Hands & Markers

For sale is a very good condition unpolished 34mm stainless steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date. The 1500 is a 6,162,xxx serial, circa 1980 production, and is not accompanied by box or papers.

The Rolex features a brushed steel case, which is accented by a smooth polished steel bezel. The Oyster Date is mounted on its original 78350 brushed steel Oyster bracelet, which contains 12 full size links, and will comfortably fit a 7.35 inch wrist. The Oyster bracelet has been persevered well, and contains little to no stretch. The Rolex features a silver sunburst dial with applied polished yellow gold hour markers, polished yellow gold tritium coated hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The tritium lume plots remain fully intact and have acquired a vivid custard colored patina with age, while the reference 1500 also retains its original “Hooked 7” date wheel. The movement used in the 1500 is the Rolex Caliber 1575, which features approximately 44 hours of power reserve.

Overall the Rolex is in very good condition, and is a lovely late production example of an Oyster Perpetual Date reference 1500, which remains unpolished.
