Boot Collection
Just as many of you are already well aware, collecting watches has a couple cousins that go by the name of gun collector and boot collector. I am fairly certain there are a couple more cousins I have not met but yall will set me straight on. In the meantime, here is my carefully curated collection made up of primarily Lucchese Handmade Classics. No, it is not an extensive collection but it is carefully assembled and they are all genuinely loved. Just like a watch or a weapon that doesn't sing to you, they do not get to stick around long and take up a coveted spot. Lemme see what you got.
Picture #1 left to right (Lucchese Navy full quill Ostrich - Lucchese Navy European calf - Lucchese Caiman Croc) Picture #2 left to right (Lucchese Roughout Suede Wine - Lucchese Black pinch toe Domestic Calfskin - Lucchese Belly Alligator French toe) Picture #3 left to right (Lucchese Belly Alligator French toe - Lucchese Pre-ban Anteater French toe) Picture #4 left to right (Blundstone 500 in Navy - Vasquez Hikers - Georgia Boot roper light work boot) |

I bought my first pair of Lucchese a few years ago and haven't look back since. Perfect for daily and formal wear.

This post is in the wrong place. It's a watch forum not a boot one.

Surely you jest? I am pretty sure I have seen many other kinds of "collections" on here that are tied closely with lifestyle and high-end brands. Suggestion: don't click on things you are not wanting to participate in. Merry Christmas and go get yourself a pair of Lucchese boots so you will know what all the fuss is about. You will NOT regret it

He is referring to it being posted in Rolex General Discussion forum and not Open Discussion forum. Ask the mods to move it or they may already because I’m sure someone has reported it for being in the wrong forum. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

He’s kinda right though. This has a perfect spot in the open forum. Just saying. |

OP, nice collection of boots! I spend most of my time in the country side of a small Colombian town surrounded by livestock and mountains. Been looking for a proper pair of boots lately. The basic desert boots just don't cut it anymore.

I travel to Philly often and see boots on most trips. Lucchese is a great product, excellent workmanship, comfortable, and last forever. They have a style for everyone. There is pair with your name on it, just waiting for your call. |

Where does one actually wear cowboy boots? Where I am from, we would only wear to fancy dress parties

Boot Collection
Pic 1 - (left to right) Red Wing 4470, Red Wing 4470 (just back from getting re-soled at Red Wing), Vintage Red Wing boots with a lot of sentimental value (I wear them often but not for actual work)
Pic 2 - I have always been a Tony Lama man worn em for 25+ yrs. These are all Tony Lama. Pic 3 - (left to right) Custom pre-ban Pangolan ant eater boots from the 70’s, Dan Post that I got a great deal on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Fantastic collection of boots. Every self-respecting man should have a pair of Redwings or Georgia Farm/Ranch. I didn't come here to convert anybody into wearing boots, but to a man when they try on a pair of perfect fitting boots and they hear that perfect "thunk" sound as your foot bottoms out......they cry uncle.....I give, lemme pay for em right now.

Since picking up my first pair of Red Wings two years ago I’ve gone pretty deep down the boot rabbit hole. 4 pairs of Nicks, 2 pairs of White’s, Alden Indy boots, a couple pair of Trickers, Viberg, Oak Street, and some Allen Edmonds.
I don’t own anything without laces yet. I’ve been thinking about some engineer boots, but I don’t know if I can pull off the look. Maybe I could do some ropers. |

You could start a whole new fashion trend. Get you a decent pair of jeans, maybe some wranglers or Levi's and good solid pair of plain ole calfskin Lucchese's or Tecova's, a decent belt and a nice T-shirt. You are all set to go just about anywhere. Make sure to get jeans that are at least 4 inches longer than you'd wear with athletic shoes and be sure they are straight leg or tapered. You want the denim to sorta bunch up or stack up over the boot. Boots work with jeans that are too short look dorky.

I guess you like you Lucchese? I have a black ostrich pair that I love, but have not gotten into the "collecting" realm yet! Nice collection!

I am not going to make the bold statement that they are the best boots money can buy as that is far too subjective but they are as close as you can come to having a custom boot without having a last built for your foot. They have a fairly diverse range from their Classic Handmade line, to their 1883 and 2000 lines of the past. What they do very well is vary toe shapes with heel types and all manner of skins. They do cost more but their Classic line is truly hand build with all leather construction, 3/4 welting and lemonwood pegging. They are special especially of they fit your foot off the shelf
